Why do trees matter?
Doing Our Bit
The Clearerhearing team have decided to do something, in a small way, to help the planet and at the same time try to reduce our carbon footprint. To this end, for every hearing aid sale made we will pay for five trees to be planted on behalf of you, our valued customer.
We are using a “not for profit” organisation called “One tree Planted.”
“One Tree Planted” is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife.
Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity. Many projects have overlapping objectives, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.To learn more, visit onetreeplanted.org.
Our initiative
Our 2021 initiative to plant trees for each and every hearing system that we dispense throughout the year is being used to highlight our continuing commitment to not only help with improving peoples hearing and quality of life but at the same time to have a positive impact on our planet.
So as well as helping your hearing, you will also be helping the planet! Well done you!

Being Green
Within our Practices we try to be as green as possible and although a lot of the equipment we use is disposable due to the need to pay careful attention to safety and hygiene, we try and source consumables that are recyclable. In addition we try to encourage our suppliers to cut down on unnecessary packaging and we have stopped stocking hundreds of flyers and leaflets.
In each Practice we have a collection facility for old hearing aid batteries and we also have the capability to recycle old hearing aids for use in third world countries, mainly children in education.
We are continuously looking for ways to improve so if you have visited one of our practices and have a suggestion on how we can be kinder to the planet, please let us know.
